De dag dat Jackie Stewart zijn eerste Grand Prix won

Het is vandaag precies 52 jaar geleden dat Jackie Stewart zijn eerste overwinning in de Formule 1 behaalde. Op 12 september 1965 was de Schot namens BRM de sterkste in de Grand Prix van Italië op het circuit van Monza. Hij werd op het podium geflankeerd door Graham Hill en Dan Gurney. Stewart zou daarna nog 26 Grands Prix winnen en wist drie keer het kampioenschap op zijn naam te schrijven, in 1969, 1971 en 1973.
