Vettel: "Makkelijk is saai, we zijn hier om te racen"

Ferrari-coureur Sebastian Vettel zal diep moeten gaan om het kampioenschap zijn kant op te laten vallen dit jaar. De Duitser raakte in Italië de koppositie kwijt aan concurrent Lewis Hamilton. Het bijzondere aan dit seizoen is dat rivalen Mercedes en Ferrari twee totaal verschillende filosofieën hebben gehanteerd met hun auto's. Mercedes is vaak sterker op de snellere banen, Ferrari moet het vooral hebben van de langzamere circuits.

Toch bedraagt het verschil tussen Vettel en Hamilton na dertien races slechts drie punten. De Duitser ziet wel hoe het zich de komende weken gaat ontvouwen. "Ik weet hoe ik moet lezen, maar wat er op papier staat over welk circuit in het voordeel zou zijn van welk team kan me eigenlijk weinig schelen. Alle resterende banen kunnen me wel bekoren, dus ik kijk ernaar uit. We zijn hier om te racen en het is niet erg als de competitie intens is. Makkelijk is saai."

We zullen wel zien wie dat het beste doet. Ferrari hoort aan de top te staan, daar willen we naartoe."

  De competitie is niet heel intens als je in niemandsland rijdt op p5 of p6, of je moet de intensiteit van het al dan niet uitvallen bedoelen voor Max. Verder ben ik het eens met de twee reactie boven de mijne.

Ik verwacht dat Vettel dit weekend weer over Lewis wipt in de WK stand, de rest zien we dan wel weer ;)

  Normaliter wel aangezien Vettel altijd machtig is op Singapore.
  Iets zegt mij echter dat de pechduivel en onvermijdelijke 0 score toe gaat slaan dit weekend en Hamilton het geluk aan zijn zijde heeft en een onoverbrugbare voorsprong op gaat lopen.

Ze mogen alles zeggen maar dit jaar is het toch spannender dan de voorbije 3 jaar en aangenamer om te kijken ,nu nog die city races eruit en het is weer van vanouds

Over saai gesproken, daarom baal ik er nog van dat die chicane eruit is gehaald toen in Singapore. Ik zat daar laatst nog een filmpje van te kijken, 1 stuurfoutje en de muur in.
