Slecht weer in de buurt van Marina Bay Circuit

Vanmorgen regende het al in Singapore en nu de start nadert meldt Jack Plooij dat het opnieuw is beginnen met druppelen. Volgens de verslaggever van Ziggo Sport is het slechte weer in de buurt en zou het een kwartier na de start al kunnen gaan regenen.

"Volgens de voorspellingen zouden de eerste druppels kort na de start beginnen met druppelen. Onze camereman Mathijs bracht net een enorme bliksemflits in beeld, het slechte weer is niet ver weg", aldus Plooij vanuit Singapore.

Op het moment van schrijven zijn de druppels duidelijk zichtbaar. Kimi Raikkonen meldde onderweg naar de grid dat het regende in de achtste en negende bocht. Op de live-beelden van Ziggo Sport zijn ook duidelijk druppels te zien.

Update 13:48: Inmiddels heeft de wedstrijdleiding bekend gemaakt dat de kans op regen tijdens de race honderd procent is.
