Formule 1 opent commerciële afdeling in New York

De Formule 1 krijgt binnenkort een eigen dependance in de Amerikaanse stad New York. Formule 1-eigenaar Liberty Media is druk doende om de organisatie te versterken en uit te breiden. Zo verhuisde het de thuisbasis in Londen al naar een groter hoofdkantoor.

In New York betrekt de Formule 1 een kleinere vestiging. Sports Business Daily schrijft dat het nieuwe kantoor vooral bedoeld is om de sponsormogelijkheden op de Amerikaanse markt in kaart te brengen en te benutten. "We openen inderdaad een klein commercieel kantoor in New York dat zich voornamelijk bezig zal houden met sponsorzaken", bevestigde een woordvoerder van de Formule 1.

Een kantoor in New York opent wellicht ook deuren naar een eventuele Grand Prix aldaar. Van Liberty Media is al langer bekend dat een race aan de oostkust van de Verenigde Staten hoog op het verlanglijstje staat.

    nee je leest een aannamen in een bericht van een krant over de f1.
    en dan de bevestiging van dat bericht door de f1
    het klopt dus wat er geschreven is mooi niet over speculeren dus

      Het antwoord heb ik al elders gegeven, maar vooruit. Allemaal tweevoudige GP winnaars. Alleen nogal macaber dat bijna 50% van dit illustere gezelschap voortijdig het leven liet. Max mout maar gauw uit dit lijstje zien te komen.

    En langzamerhand gaat Liberty de Formule 1 commercieler maken en het Amerikaanse model introduceren. En gelukkig maar. De starre Ecclestone houding was stuitend. Hoe meer sponsoren hoe beter. Zolang de Grands Prix maar niet de Formula 1 Gran Premio Heineken d'Italia fueled by Skittles and Powered by Gillette gaan heten ofzo.
