110.000 bezoekers voor laatste F1-weekend in Maleisië

Het voorlopig laatste Grand Prix-weekend op het Sepang International Circuit is door 110.604 toeschouwers bijgewoond. Dat heeft de organisatie in Maleisië bekendgemaakt. Zoveel bezoekers had de Maleisische Grand Prix sinds 2013 niet meer gehad.

Maleisië verdwijnt na dit jaar van de Formule 1-kalender. Op de negentien edities van de Maleisische Grand Prix kwamen in totaal 1.888.231 toeschouwers af, dat komt neer op een gemiddelde van rond de 99.380 per jaar.

De premier van Maleisië heeft de deur richting een hernieuwde Grand Prix in de toekomst op een kier gezet.
