Renger van der Zande met Honda NSX GT3 naar Macau

Renger van der Zande doet volgende maand namens JAS Motorsport mee aan de FIA GT World Cup in Macau. Hij stapt voor de gelegenheid in een Honda NSX GT3. Een bijzondere gebeurtenis, want het markeert het internationale debuut van die bolide. Honda zette de NSX GT3 al onder de vlag van Acura in het Amerikaanse IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar-kampioenschap in, maar volgend jaar is de bolide ook beschikbaar voor bijvoorbeeld de Blancpain Series.

JAS Motorsport-teambaas Stefano Fini: "Honda heeft net het wereldwijde klantenprogramma voor de NSX GT3 gelanceerd, en we zijn de FIA en de organisatie ontzettend dankbaar dat ze ons het groene licht hebben gekregen om deel te nemen aan dit prestigieuze evenement. Het is ons doel om een goede show neer te zetten met Renger, een internationale sportscar-kampioen met voldoende ervaring in GT3-bolides en Guia circuit."

Van der Zande: "Ik heb dit jaar in het IMSA-kampioenschap al het circuit gedeeld met de NSX GT3, en het viel me op hoe geweldig de auto eruitziet. Om namens Honda met deze fabrieksauto te mogen rijden in Macau is een geweldige kans voor mij. Macau is de perfecte locatie om een auto aan de wereld te tonen, om dat dit circuit alles heeft. Daarnaast heb ik er ook de nodige ervaring omdat ik er al acht keer gereden heb. Ik weet zeker dat we voor Honda en de fans een mooie show neer zullen kunnen zetten."

Ik heb een testrit in deze auto gehad. Mooie wagen, zwaar overprijst en het voelt erg " honda" aan wat met zo'n 220.000 euries niet liefkozend bedoeld is.
