Force India-eigenaar Vijay Mallya roemt teamprestatie

Force India zette tijdens de Grand Prix van Japan een grote stap om voor het tweede opeenvolgende jaar vierde te worden in het constructeurskampioenschap. Eigenaar van het team, Vijay Mallya kan niet anders dan tevreden zijn in aanloop naar de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten.

Belangrijk signaal

Mallya: "De laatste paar races hebben wij weer grote stappen gezet in de ontwikkeling van de VJM10. In Maleisië en Japan waren wij op drie na het snelste team en ik heb er vertrouwen in dat wij die positie vast kunnen houden de komende races. In Japan wisten wij zelfs meer dan 20 seconden eerder te finishen dan wagen nummer 8 en dat is een belangrijk signaal op zo'n technisch circuit."

Teamprestatie

Het is echt een teamprestatie volgens Mallya: "Het is te danken aan het harde werk in de windtunnel, in de fabriek en op het circuit dat wij de vierde plaats zo vast in handen hebben met 81 voorsprong op plaats vijf. De race in Austin zal weer een kans zijn om een goede score neer te zetten en onze positie zo te consolideren."

Recent kreeg het team van Force India nog de felicitaties van Ross Brawn, sportief directeur van de Formule 1. Brawn zei: Felicitaties zijn op zijn plaats, zij hebben laten zien dat je met effectief gebruik van middelen indrukwekkende prestaties kan leveren."
