Australische motorsportbond stelt Grand Prix van 2011 veilig

De Grand Prix van Australië in 2011 gaat gewoon door. De Australische motorsportbond CAMS heeft een overeenkomst bereikt met de promoters van de race, die hun ongenoegen hadden geüit over de hoge kosten.

De promoters van de race eisten lagere kosten van de CAMS en dreigden anders de race van de kalender te halen. Bernie Ecclestone werd zelfs ingeschakeld om tot een goede oplossing te komen, maar de Grand Prix van Australië is veiliggesteld. "CAMS is blij dat we deze overeenkomst hebben kunnen sluiten en we kijken er naar uit om één van 's werelds beste Formule 1-races te blijven organiseren", vertelde CAMS-president Andrew Papadopoulos.

De Grand Prix van Australië vindt plaats op 27 maart 2011.
