Lewis Hamilton ziet nog vele verbeterpunten voor komend seizoen

Mercedes-coureur Lewis Hamilton was dit jaar met negen overwinningen de meest succesvolle coureur van het jaar, maar is ook kritisch naar zichzelf en zijn team. Volgens de viervoudig wereldkampioen zijn er nog genoeg zaken die beter kunnen, zowel binnen het team als bij hemzelf.

Hamilton deed zijn uitspraken voorafgaand aan het FIA gala van afgelopen vrijdag: "Ik heb het gevoel dat 2017 een succesvol jaar was, maar volgens mij heb ik nog niet op mijn top gezeten. Het was goed, maar het kan beter. Als team hebben we de beste betrouwbaarheid van het hele veld, maar qua snelheid lieten we het in een paar races echt liggen dit jaar. We weten dat we weer een stap moeten zetten deze winter om net zo sterk als afgelopen seizoen te kunnen zijn."
