Nieuw contract voor Hamilton een kwestie van tijd

Het is een kwestie van tijd voordat Lewis Hamilton zijn contract bij Mercedes verlengt. Voor hoeveel seizoenen de regerend wereldkampioen bijtekent, dat valt nog te bezien. De Brit en Mercedes zijn met elkaar in onderhandeling en volgens de geruchten gaat het om een verbintenis tot en met 2020.

Elke vorm van contractverlenging betekent dat Hamilton in elk geval ook in 2019 van de partij is, ook als hij maar voor één jaar bijtekent. De Brit was recent te gast in een programma van de Italiaanse zender RAI Uno en daar kwam zijn contractsituatie ook ter sprake.

Hamilton: "Ik heb op dit moment een contract dat na 2018 afloopt en we praten over de toekomst. Mercedes nam me onder de vleugels toen ik 13 jaar was en ik kan me nauwelijks voorstellen dat ik ooit nog voor iemand anders zal racen. Dat nieuwe contract komt er zeker."

      In die tijd was het toch McLaren Mercedes met de nadruk op Mercedes? Je heb ook van die commercials waar Ham en ALO met Mercedessen gaan spelen.

      Vandaag de dag is het blijkbaar normaal om de geschiedenis anders te doen laten voorkomen dan het eigenlijk was. Ja, Mercedes had een groot aandeel in McLaren Mercedes maar het was toch echt Ron Dennis die Hamilton naar binnen heeft gehaald. Maar het past veel beter in Hamiltons straatje als hij "alleen" maar voor Mercedes heeft gewerkt.

      McLaren en Mercedes. Mercedes was niet zomaar een motorenleverancier, McLaren was gewoon het fabrieksteam van Mercedes. Dus die zullen ook wel betrokken zijn in de opleiding. Zie ook Nick Heidfeld.

      @Commando het was Mercedes die Hamilton zijn salaris betaalde en toen Hamilton nog in de karts reed stond er toch echt een mercedesster op de voorkap.

      Mercedes heeft zich ooit ingekocht voor 40% bij Mclaren. het waren dus partners
      Het is bij gevolg nooit fabrieksteam geweest.
      Mercedes is pas fabrieksteam geworden toen het Brawn GP overkocht.
      Mercedes moet ten gevolgen daarvan de 40% aandelen aan Mclaren terug geven.

      Nee!! Het is altijd Merc geweest!! Toen Merc vertrok bij McLaren was Hamilton ook meteen mee..

      @STOFFELMAN: Dat bedoel ik met fabrieksteam. Dus dat McLaren de 1st party afnemer van de motoren is. Dat Mercedes voor 40% in McLaren zat, versterkt dat idee juist. Maar ook al hadden ze geen aandelen in McLaren, dan nog was McLaren die de volledige support en ontwikkelingsbetrokkenheid had van Mercedes.

    jezus, dat was het eerste liedje wat ik kon spelen op de piano. zo makkelijk..en ik kon geen noten lezen en had geen les. uurtje pielen en je had het door. Ik schaamde me er zelf voor, om het te spelen, omdat het zo simpel is, zie ik Hamilton dit doen achter een vleugel voor publiek.
