Stoffel Vandoorne spant de kroon met 195 plaatsen straf

Het Formule 1-seizoen 2017 is ten einde en dus is het tijd om de rekening op te maken. De stewards waren dit seizoen coulant. Slechts achttien keer deelde de wedstrijdleiding een straf uit voor onsportief gedrag. De stewards zijn wel eens pietluttiger met incidenten op de baan omgesprongen.

Acht keer is een coureur bestraft vanwege het veroorzaken van een botsing. De rijders hebben dit seizoen zeer gedisciplineerd gereden. Er waren slechts twee straffen voor het negeren van blauwe vlaggen en drie keer greep de wedstrijdleiding in vanwege het negeren van een gele vlag-situatie.

Drie coureurs werden gewaarschuwd omdat ze zich te laat opstelden voor het volkslied van een gastland van een bepaalde Grand Prix; Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez en Sebastian Vettel. Kevin Magnussen verzamelde de meeste strafpunten; acht in totaal, meldt Auto Motor und Sport.

De internationale autosportbond FIA deelde 20.200 euro aan boetes voor het overschrijden van de maximumsnelheid in de pitstraat. In 2016 lag dat bedrag nog op 11.600 euro. De teams verdubbelden hun boetes van 25.000 euro naar 50.000 euro, al zit daar wel een boete van 25.000 euro voor Force India vanwege een onjuiste weergave van de startnummers in Spanje bij.

In totaal waren er dit jaar 42 grid penalty's en 710 plaatsen straf vanwege een overtreding van de reglementen met betrekking tot de aandrijflijn. McLaren-Honda en Stoffel Vandoorne werden het zwaarst getroffen met respectievelijk 370 en 195 plaatsen straf. Brendon Hartley kwam in vier raceweekenden voor Toro Rosso toch tot het 'respectabele' aantal van 65 plaatsen straf.

Zijn die bedragen van de boetes ergens vastgelegd en is dat ergens te vinden? Ben benieuwd wat de FIA allemaal heeft verzonnen.

Het zou eigenlijk mogelijk moeten zijn om die gridpenalty's bij de laatste race in te lossen .
Dan zou Stoffel de laatste race op (195 × 8 m) 1560 meter afstand hebben moeten aanvangen .
Even een meetwieltje erbij en een spuitbus voor de startplaatsen.
Dan kunnen fans op een andere tribune / staanplaats ook een start live zien .

Ach, even met de Honda naar de RBR technologie centrum met al hun ervaring in het bouwen van een PU en in 2019 een super motor die een half seizoen meegaat.

  Dat komt alleen doordat Stoffel geen Nederlander is hoor.
  Heel veel Nederlanders kijken niet naar het F1, ze kijken naar wat Max doet.
  Wanneer de houdbaarheidsdatum is verstreken om jongste WK te worden ,gaat dat vanzelf minder worden.
  Gewoon afwachten wat volgend seizoen gaat doen.
  Dat geldt sowieso voor elk team en elke rijder.

Weet iemand waar de lijst met gridstraffen terug te vinden is? Ik heb er eentje gevonden op www.f1fanatic.co.u(...)cs/penalties-index/ maar daar kom ik tot een totaal van 218 plaatsen straf voor Stoffel. Dus of dit artikel klopt niet, of de lijst die ik gevonden heb klopt niet (of ik kan niet tellen ;-)
