Raikkonen verrast met openen account op Instagram

Tot 28 december 2017 was Kimi Raikkonen nog niet actief op de grote social media-kanalen. De Ferrari-coureur heeft daar op donderdag verandering in gebracht, want hij heeft een account aangemaakt op Instagram.

Op Instagram kunnen gebruikers foto's en video's met elkaar delen en het platform is vooral populair onder de jongere doelgroep. Raikkonen heeft er dus voor gekozen om zijn debuut op de sociale media te maken op Instagram en dat heeft hij gedaan met een filmpje. In de korte video laat de Fin zien dat hij behoorlijk wat zelfspot heeft door te zeggen dat hij 'dit keer niet weet wat hij aan het doen is'. Daarmee refereert hij naar zijn bekende uitspraak over de boordradio tijdens de race van Abu Dhabi in 2012: "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing."

Een kleine dag na het toetreden op Instagram heeft Raikkonen al ruim 140 duizend volgers. Dat is nog weinig in vergelijking met Lewis Hamilton, die inmiddels een kleine zes miljoen volgers heeft op het platform.

    Wat is de kans dat z'n manager dit geregeld heeft onder het mom van 'het is goed voor je marktwaarde als je een instagram account hebt'.
