Cheever en Rahal vieren vandaag hun verjaardag

Oud Formule 1-coureurs Eddie Cheever en Bobby Rahal zijn vandaag jarig. Cheever en Rahal zijn grote namen uit de Amerikaanse racerij. Allebei hebben ze een keer de Indy 500 op hun naam geschreven, maar beiden zijn ook actief geweest in de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Cheever reed voor teams als Theodore, Hesketh, Osella, Alfa Romeo, Renault, Tyrrell, Ligier, Haas-Lola en Arrows 132 Grands Prix, eindigde negen keer op het podium en scoorde in totaal zeventig punten. Rahal verscheen namens Wolf twee keer aan de start van een Formule 1-race.

Cheever blaast 60 kaarsjes uit op zijn verjaardagstaart, terwijl Rahal de leeftijd van 65 jaar heeft bereikt. De felicitaties gaan uit naar deze twee jarige Amerikanen.
