Pirelli kondigt compounds voor Azerbeidzjan 2018 aan

Bandenleverancier Pirelli heeft de genomineerde compounds voor de Azerbeidzjaanse Grand Prix van komend seizoen bekendgemaakt. De Italiaanse bandenfabrikant neemt de zachte, superzachte en ultrazachte banden mee naar het weekend in de straten van Bakoe.

De coureurs moeten één setje van de zachtst beschikbare band reserveren voor het geval dat ze Q3 halen en één setje van de twee hardere compounds overhouden voor de race, om er daar minstens één van te gebruiken. In de week na de Chinese Grand Prix zal Pirelli de bandenselectie per team en rijder voor Azerbeidzjan naar buiten brengen.

Voor overzeese races moeten de teams uiterlijk veertien weken voor het evenement hun keuzes doorgeven. Voor Europese Grands Prix hanteert Pirelli een deadline van acht weken van tevoren.

    De bandenkeuzes van de eerste drie GP’s waren al bekend. Hieronder is het rijtje van Baku toegevoegd.

    GP Australië, 25 maart:
    - geel (zacht);
    - rood (superzacht);
    - paars (ultrazacht).

    GP China, 8 april:
    - wit (medium);
    - geel (zacht);
    - paars (ultrazacht).

    GP Bahrein, 15 april:
    - wit (medium);
    - geel (zacht);
    - rood (superzacht).

    GP Azerbeidzjan, 29 april:
    - geel (zacht);
    - rood (superzacht);
    - paars (ultrazacht).

    Alleen in China durft Pirelli het tot nu toe dus maar aan om een ombond over te slaan: superzacht. Best behoudend terwijl ze eerst aankondigden dat regelmatig een band overslaan voor meer variatie in strategieën zou zorgen...

    Misschien bovenstaand lijstje ff printen en op je koelkastdeur plakken? Of op de achterkant van je AB?

Dit is zo'n onzin regel... ze moeten twee compounds gebruiken tijdens de race... Bij keuze uit drie compounds wordt deze regel al afgedekt en is dus onzinnig...

      Het deel wat over Q3 gaat begrijp ik nog, anders loop je er tegenaan dat er teams zijn die niet rijden om banden te sparen. Maar dat laatste mag van mij ook wel anders.

      Omdat volgens mij de eerste paar races worden bepaald door Pirelli, in australie kiezen voor de race 4 rondes verder
