Movistar+ bemachtigt uitzendrechten Formule 1 in Spanje tot 2020

Movistar+ mag tot en met 2020 in Spanje de Formule 1-wedstrijden uitzenden. De televisiezender heeft de bestaande samenwerking met de Formule 1 verlengd met drie jaar, zo meldt de sport op haar officiële website.

Movistar+ mag als enige zender in Spanje de Formule 1 uitzenden en in het nieuwe contract zijn ook de uitzendingen van vrije trainingen en kwalificaties meegenomen. Tevens heeft de zender ook enkele digitale rechten weten te bemachtigen. Ian Holmes, directeur van de Mediarechten van de Formule 1, zegt het volgende over de samenwerking: "Spanje is een van de belangrijkste Europese markten voor de Formule 1. Met dank aan deze samenwerking kunnen de Spaanse fans blijven genieten van het Formule 1-spektakel op het speciale themakanaal Movistar F1."

Die uitzendingen zouden er compleet anders uit kunnen gaan zien, zo kondigde McLaren-directeur Zak Brown aan in een artikel op de blog van James Allen. Zo heeft Liberty een innovator op het gebied van televisiesporten, David Hill, ingehuurd om het grafische pakket en de manier van uitzenden van de races te overzien. "Er zullen significante veranderingen komen bij de uitzendingen, de grafische vormgeving en de storytelling", zei Brown daarover.

@Richard. In Azerbeidzjan hoeft niemand tv-rechten want voordat je bij je AB bent is je tv al gejat.
In Noord-Korea heeft niemand rechten dus ook geen tv-rechten.

    Nou, mooi toch! Weet ik dat in elk geval als ik de komende drie jaren weer eens in Spanje ben.

    Weet iemand ook wie de TV rechten in Azerbedjan heeft? Of Noord Korea?

      Azerbeidzjan geen idee maar ALS de F1 überhaupt in beeld wordt gebracht op de Noord-Koreaanse televisie dan zal dat de nationale staatszender zijn...bij gebrek aan concurrenten ;)
