Renault: "Force India voorbeeld van hoe het moet"

Renault zou afgelopen seizoen 'met gemak' afrekenen met teams als Force India en Haas F1 Team, voorspelde directeur Cyril Abiteboul twaalf maanden geleden. Die woorden heeft hij moeten inslikken. Haas F1 Team werd ternauwernood verslagen, maar Force India was van een andere planeet ten opzichte van Renault. Nu noemt Abiteboul de Indiase renstal een voorbeeld voor zijn team.

De Fransman deelde aan Autosport mede: "Eerlijk gezegd geloof ik dat mijn uitspraken vorig jaar een beetje verdraaid zijn, want ik heb altijd enorm veel respect gehad voor Force India en dat zal ik ook altijd blijven houden. Het respect is na afgelopen seizoen alleen maar verder toegenomen. Ze hebben andermaal bewezen dat ze met beperkte middelen een geweldige prestatie neer kunnen zetten."

"Dat is gekoppeld aan een geweldige line-up en de Mercedes-motor, nog steeds de beste krachtbron in de Formule 1. Er is geen sprake van tovenarij. Force India toont aan dat de stabiliteit die al jaren binnen hun organisatie heerst hen in staat stelt om extreem efficiënt om te springen met de middelen."

"Voor ons is dat een voorbeeld van hoe het moet. Dat is het altijd geweest en dat zal ook altijd zo blijven. Ik wil dat wij komend seizoen in de positie komen om te knokken met Force India. Als we erin slagen om dit jaar boven Force India te eindigen in het kampioenschap, dan zou dat een prestatie van formaat zijn."

Force India sloot het seizoen 2017 af op een vierde plek bij de constructeurs, Renault eindigde op een zesde positie. Het verschil bedroeg maar liefst 130 punten.

Toch draait Cyril hier weer om de hete brei heen. Ja de motor is krachtiger en ja de line-up van coureurs was beter bij FI. Maar de grootste angel "betrouwbaarheid" blijft weer buite... [Lees verder]

Toch draait Cyril hier weer om de hete brei heen. Ja de motor is krachtiger en ja de line-up van coureurs was beter bij FI. Maar de grootste angel "betrouwbaarheid" blijft weer buiten vermelding. Het chassis was toch niet verkeerd van Renault en misschien zelfs beter dan die van FI. Dat je dan 130 punten minder binnenharkt is ronduit beschamend. En die line-up was je zelf ook verantwoordelijk voor Cyril......

  force india moet je spiegelen niet aan de motor maar spiegelen aan Williams en als je ziet de status wat force india heeft is williams gewoon beschamend.

  Je kunt niet anders verwachten van die Abiteboul @Bill, het begint er al mee dat de Fransoos zegt dat zijn woorden zijn verdraaid. Dus niet hè.
  Doodzonde dat de betreffende journalist hem dan niet meteen ff confronteert met zijn uitspraak op tape.

Dat is een héél ander verhaal als begin 2017.
Toen zouden ze de strijd wel even aangaan met FI.
Dat het anders is geworden is pijnlijk duidelijk.
Maar aan de andere kant het siert Renault FI in dit opzicht te roemen.

Wie deze man nog serieus neemt is echt naïef te noemen. De ene leugen volgt de andere leugen op bij deze man. Niet de motor doet de das om bij Renault, maar deze nar.

Wie is eigenlijk de ergste leugenachtige, adderige, huichelachtige, slijmerige en hypocriete F1-teambaas, die Wolff of die Abiteboul?

Hou het nog op die Wolff maar Abiteboul doet ook erg zijn ‘best’. ;)
