India volgend jaar gastheer voor FIA Gala en WMSC

De wereldkampioen Formule 1 van 2011 zal zijn bokaal op moeten halen in India. New Delhi is volgend jaar in plaats van het traditionele Monaco de gastheer voor het FIA Gala. Dat schrijven Indiase media en de Indiase autosportbond FMSCI heeft dat bevestigd.

New Delhi huisvest volgend jaar ook voor het eerst een Grand Prix. Tevens zal een vergadering van de World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) in India plaatsvinden. FMSCI-president K. D. Madan: Dit is een duidelijke indicatie dat India ook in de autosport op de wereldkaart komt te staan.
