Renault en Spaanse voetbalcompetitie gaan samenwerken

Het team van Renault heeft in de hoogste Spaanse voetbal divisie een nieuwe sponsor gevonden. Het logo van LaLiga, zoals de naam luidt van de competitie, zal te zien zijn op de R.S.18 en op de overalls van coureurs Nico Hülkenberg en Carlos Sainz.

Antoine Magnan van Renault over de nieuwe samenwerking: "Wij zijn erg blij dat wij dit unieke partnerschap kunnen aankondigen met LaLiga, één van de beste voetbalcompetities ter wereld. Renault Sport Formula One Team en LaLiga hebben veel gelijke doelstellingen en willen allebei ons wereldwijde bereik vergroten."

Ook LaLiga-directeur Enrique Moreno is verheugd met de samenwerking: "Wij hebben gekeken naar innovatieve ideeën die ons merk ook buiten het voetbal goed over het voetlicht brengt. Het is geen voetbal, het is LaLiga. Formule 1-fans zijn potentiële voetbalfans en dus past dit perfect in onze strategie."
