Sebastien Bourdais heeft de eerste race van het nieuwe IndyCar-seizoen op zijn naam geschreven. Daar kwam het nodige geluk bij kijken. De Fransman lag namelijk derde bij de laatste herstart, maar hij zag rookie Robert Wickens en Alexander Rossi voor hem wegvallen na een botsing in bocht 1. Bourdais profiteerde en won voor het tweede achtereenvolgende jaar de race in St Petersburg. Hieronder de samenvatting:

Eerlijk is eerlijk een mooie race en raceklasse. Waar het in f1 meer om techniek gaat wordt er bij Indycar toch wat meer geracet en wat minder politiek. Hier en daar een tikkie maak daar ook niet zoveel uit.
