Timo Glock viert vandaag zijn 36ste verjaardag

Timo Glock is een van de jarige oud Formule 1-coureurs vandaag. De Duitser mag 36 kaarsjes uitblazen op zijn verjaardagstaart. Glock kwam in de Formule 1 uit voor Jordan, Toyota, Virgin Racing en Marussia. Tegenwoordig is hij actief in de toerwagenserie DTM.

Naast Glock zijn nog vier rijders met een Formule 1-verleden jarig. Michel Leclere verscheen in de jaren zeventig zeven maal aan de start van een Grand Prix, hij is inmiddels 72 jaar oud. Larry Perkins (elf Grand Prix-starts) heeft de leeftijd van 68 jaar bereikt. Volker Weidler (tien mislukte pogingen om zich voor een Grand Prix te kwalificeren) is vandaag 56 jaar geworden. En ten slotte viert Alex Caffi (56 Grands Prix achter zijn naam) zijn 54ste verjaardag.

De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige Glock, Leclere, Perkins, Weidler en Caffi.
