Dakar: Strijd bij motoren gaat verloren door straftijd Despres

Cyril Despres is na afloop van de vierde etappe van gisteren bestraft door de organisatie van Le Dakar. Dit meldt Rallymaniacs zojuist op haar Twitter-pagina. Verder heeft Mirjam Pol een straf van maar liefst drie uur gekregen.

Waarvoor beide coureurs bestraft zijn is nog niet bekend. Despres, die tweede stond in het klassement met slechts twee seconden achterstand op Marc Coma, kreeg tien minuten straftijd. Hierdoor blijft de Fransman tweede in het algemeen klassement, maar hij kijkt nu tegen een achterstand van 10:02 minuten aan richting Coma.
