Shanghai krijgt een van vier Heineken F1 Festivals

De Formule 1 zal in 2018 vier keer een F1 Festival organiseren. Tijdens de Grand Prix van China zal het eerste evenement plaatsvinden in Shanghai, waarna in Frankrijk, Duitsland en de Verenigde Staten de andere festivals zullen plaatsvinden.

Het Heineken F1 Festival vindt gelijktijdig plaats met de Grand Prix van China. Van vrijdag 13 tot en met zondag 15 april kunnen fans op twee locaties deelnemen aan de feestvreugde. Op de eerste locatie kunnen fans meedoen aan enkele activiteiten van Formule 1-sponsoren als Heineken, DHL, Emirates en Pirelli. Artiesten en DJ's zullen het programma muzikaal omlijsten. Deze activiteiten zullen op vrijdag van 16.00 tot 22.00 uur te bezoeken zijn, terwijl op zaterdag en zondag van 10.00 tot 22.00 uur de deuren geopend zijn. Op de tweede locatie wordt het F1 House ingericht en daar zal op zondagavond de afterparty plaatsvinden met DJ's Afrojack en Armin van Buuren.

Daarnaast maakte de Formule 1 bekend dat de drie grootste Chinese social media-platforms, Weibo, Toutiao en WeChat, een officiële Formule 1-pagina krijgen, waarop fans onder andere de ontwikkelingen rondom het F1 Festival kunnen volgen. Ook zal de nieuwe mascotte van de Formule 1, Axel, debuteren op het festival.

De overige F1 Festivals vinden plaats tijdens de Grand Prix-weekenden in Frankrijk, Duitsland en de Verenigde Staten. De locaties van de festivals zijn Marseille, Berlijn en Miami.
