Brandweer moest uitrukken vanwege brandje bij McLaren

De fabriek van McLaren in Woking is vanochtend tijdelijk ontruimd geweest vanwege een brandje. De brandweer moest uitrukken om een kleine brand in het McLaren Technology Centre te blussen, bevestigde een brandweerman aan Get Surrey.

Een woordvoerder van de brandweer lichtte toe: "We zijn rond 06.15 uur gebeld met de melding van een brandje in het McLaren Technology Centre in Woking. Drie brandweerwagens zijn erop afgestuurd en na het blussen van de kleine brand konden we om ongeveer 08.30 uur weer vertrekken."

Het geëvacueerde personeel kon even na half negen vanochtend terug naar binnen om hun werk te hervatten. Het is nog niet duidelijk waar de brand ontstaan is en of dit enige gevolgen heeft voor de Formule 1-werkzaamheden van McLaren in Woking.
