Formule 1 lanceert eigen 'Fantasy Formula 1'-spel

Formule 1-eigenaar Liberty Media heeft de handen ineen geslagen met PlayON voor de lancering van een eigen 'Fantasy Formula 1'-spel. Op de site van de koningsklasse van de autosport is het vanaf vandaag mogelijk om je in te schrijven voor de game, waarbij je met een budget van 100 miljoen dollar een team met vijf coureurs en één constructeur moet samenstellen.

Punten worden toegekend voor klasseringen in zowel de kwalificaties als de races, gewonnen posities tijdens de wedstrijden, snelste racerondes en het verslaan van de teamgenoot. Voor elke Grand Prix dient de speler één rijder aan te wijzen wiens punten verdubbeld worden. Minpunten behoren echter ook tot de mogelijkheden, bijvoorbeeld in het geval van straffen.

Frank Arthofer is verantwoordelijk voor de digitale ontwikkeling van de Formule 1. Hij vertelde aan Reuters: "We lanceren een 'Fantasy Formula 1'-spel op de platformen van PlayON en we lanceren tevens een gratis versie op ons eigen platform. We zijn optimistisch gestemd dat dit een positieve impact op onze business heeft. Commercieel gezien bestaat er absoluut een markt voor. Lang hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt van de mogelijkheden op dit vlak, maar daar komt nu verandering in."

Met 'F1 Fantasy' zijn exclusieve prijzen te winnen, zoals Paddock Club-tickets voor een Grand Prix naar keuze. Meer informatie over het 'Fantasty Formula 1'-spel is hier te vinden.

  Het zou overigens helpen wanneer iedereen dezelfde nickname zou aanhouden. Al kan het natuurlijk zo zijn dat je je al geregistreerd had en in andere communities een andere naam gebruikt. Zou wel helpen wanneer je per community een andere naam kon gebruiken zoals op Discord ook kan (moet er niet ook een F1Today Discord-server komen, of een Slack Group?).

Ferrari - Vettel - Alonso - Magnussen - Hulkenberg - Gasly. Lijkt me best logisch eigenlijk, gewoon naar de afgelopen races kijken en waar je punten voor krijgt. Al deze coureurs lijken momenteel de overhand te hebben op hun teamgenoten

Ik, als JKRAC1NG, heb het volgende opgesteld:
Ham, Räi, Ver, Alo (turbo) en Hul. Constructeur is Haas. Nu maar afwachten. Bij sommige managerspellen ben je beter af met een goede chassis - motor, bij anderen leveren goede rijders betere punten op. Daar gok ik op.
