Formule 1 gaat na de race live uitzenden op eigen Twitter-kanaal

Sinds Liberty Media de Formule 1 heeft overgenomen kan iedereen tijdens een raceweekend ook via social media de verrichtingen van de teams en de coureurs volgen. De Formule 1 gaat het nu nog een stukje verder doorvoeren door na de race zelf op Twitter te gaan uitzenden.

Interviews en analyses

Waar het eerder strikt verboden was om video's vanaf het circuit uit te zenden kunnen we al een jaar genieten van alle video's die de teams tijdens een raceweekend maken en zo krijgen de fans een mooi kijkje achter de schermen. Op het Formule 1-twitteraccount (@F1) zal na de race interviews worden uitgezonden met coureurs, teambazen en andere betrokken, analyses worden gemaakt en nog veel meer.

Directeur digitale media van de Formule 1: "We zijn verheugd een nieuw initiatief aan te kondigen dat is gericht op het uitbreiden van onze strategie voor fan betrokkenheid en het genereren van inkomsten op Twitter. Twitter kwam al vroeg bij ons om originele live-inhoud te gaan coproduceren ten einde de dialoog over het raceweekend te verlengen."

Nico Rosberg heeft er zin in

Will Buxton zal de presentatie op zich nemen en tal van gasten ontvangen waaronder de wereldkampioen van 2016 Nico Rosberg. De oud Mercedes-coureur zegt hierover: "Het is goed te zien dat de Formule 1 een nieuwe weg is in geslagen en ook digitale media als sleutelkanaal ziet om fans en toekomstige fans bij de sport te betrekken. Ik was zeer verheugd om deel te nemen aan dit programma toen de F1 me vroeg mee te doen. Ik hou van de sport en ik ben er van overtuigd dat we als sport verder kunnen groeien middels digitale betrokkenheid."

Heel benieuwd, ik keek sowieso al Sky Sports voor de analyses en interviews. Wat een willekeurige BN'er of schaatser vindt van een race heeft net zoveel waarde als mijn vriendengroepje op Whatsapp zeg maar. Al lees ik daar vaak zinnigere dingen vandaan komen dan uit de studio van Ziggo.

  Ja, Coronel mogen ze van mij ook beter bij de STER laten. Hoop woorden zonder inhoud.
  Doornbos heeft af en toe nog wel eens wat te melden. De BN'ers zijn al genoeg in de andere programma's. Begrijp niet waarom deze hier worden uitgenodigd. Bankvulling??

  Het inkijkje over hoe om te gaan met tegenslag van die willekeurige schaatser was afgelopen weekend wel van voorspellende waarde en gaf een extra dimensie.
  
  Maar waarom kijk je behalve de wedstrijd ook voor- en nabeschouwingen die je niet leuk vindt?

Leuk idee. Ik vind het persoonlijk wel wat lekkerder werken als alles naar één platform getrokken wordt. Dus niet dat je de race op tv kijkt en dan naar andere kanalen moet voor officiële nabeschouwingen en dergelijke. Wellicht dat die ene streamingsdienst kan helpen.

Bij de titel dacht ik eerst dat ze de race na de live uitzending zelf nog eens zouden uitzenden op Twitter. Dat vond ik al raar, want dan zou iedereen wachten tot na de race ;)
