Omgekochte bankier toch in verband gebracht met Ecclestone

Gerhard Gribkowsky, de vorige week gearresteerde voormalig bankier van de Bayer Landesbank, is toch gelinkt aan Bernie Ecclestone. De commerciële baas van de Formule 1 ontkende eerder alle betrokkenheid, maar nu brengt het Duitse magazine Stern Gribkowsky in verband met een door Ecclestone opgericht bedrijf.

Het betreft Petara, een firma waarvan de naam is opgemaakt uit de namen van de dochters van Ecclestone, Petra en Tamara. Gribkowsky richtte een dag nadat hij tot directeur bij Petara benoemd was GG Consulting op. Volgens het artikel is de 50 miljoen dollar aan steekpenningen die hij ontving te herleiden naar Petara. Gribkowsky zou een dubieuze rol gespeeld hebben bij de verkoop van de commerciële rechten op de Formule 1 aan CVC Capital.
