Sebastian Vettel: "Wij kunnen winnen in Barcelona"

Sebastian Vettel heeft veel vertrouwen in komend weekend. Veel analitici denken dat Ferrari dit jaar eindelijk weer de wereldtitel in de wacht kunnen slepen, sinds 2007.

Hoewel Ferrari tot nu toe erg sterk heeft gepresteerd zag Mercedes er het beste uit afgelopen winter in Barcelona. Sebastian Vettel zei tegenover het Duitse RTL: “Ik maak me helemaal geen zorgen. Het belangrijkste is dat we een wagen hebben die goed werkt tijdens de kwalificatie. Als we vooraan rijden kunnen we winnen want onze racesnelheid is goed.”

“Vooral tijdens de kwalificatie waren we de voorgaande jaren niet competitief. Komend weekend zal in Barcelona een goed beeld weergegeven worden waar iedereen nu werkelijk staat op de grid.”

    Ook in de race niet hoor, vooral 2016 was een drama. ben benieuwd of RB een keer vanaf de eerste of 2e rij kan starten.

    Weer eens wat anders dan mercedes die afgelopen jaren voor elke gp maar verkondigden dat de concurrentie dichtbij zat en goede kans had om hun te verslaan. Waarna ze ruim een halve seconde los stonden van de rest.

    Eerst maar afwachten of de updates van de andere teams niet beter zijn. In het verleden verloor Ferraru namelijk terrein ten opzichte van de concurrentie zodra de teams voet op Europese bodem zetten.

      Eens, ik zie nog steeds fer in spanje en monaco winnen, net als 2017 of in ieder geval daar de beste auto hebben. Vanaf canada zie je vaak een ommekeer komen.

      Het lijkt inderdaad dat Ferrari gewoon dé favoriet is dit weekend. Naar mijn mening zijn ze toch gewoon consequent sneller dan Mercedes (op Melbourne na misschien).

      Klopt. Net zoals het gebrek aan snelheid bij Red Bull in Baku en toch eigenlijk ook wel in China. Vergeet niet dat ze hier op dezelfde banden gewoon echt een stuk langzamer waren dan Mercedes en Ferrari.

      0,7 in de quali los van de rest en in de race consolideren vind ik oppermachtig.
      Ik weet niet welke race speedpuppet gekeken heeft, wellicht in de war met 2017

    Ziu zomaar kunnen, tot nu toe de snelste auto. Zeker in de quali.
    Echter eea hangt ook af vd upgrades van rbr en mercedes.

    Canada vind ik ook een goede graadmeter.

    Ferrari heeft zowel in de Q3 als in de race de beste papieren om te winnen met 2 coureurs die top presteren. Hangt af van Mercedes of ze inderdaad kunnen winnen en we Hammertime gaan horen. Red Bull zal vanaf de 3e startrij geen potten kunnen breken en moet hopen op een incident om kans te maken op het podium.
