Dakar: Organisatie bevestigt dode na botsing met deelnemer

De Dakar Rally 2011 heeft gisteren het leven geëist van een 42-jarige man. De bestuurder reed in een pick-up truck toen hij in botsing kwam met de Toyota van Eduardo Amor en Alejandro Fenoglio.

Vlak voor het dorpje Tinogasta werd binnengereden kwamen Toyota en de pick-up frontaal met elkaar in aanraking. Hierbij werd de 42-jarige bestuurder van de truck overgebracht naar het ziekenhuis waar zijn dood vandaag werd vastgesteld. Amor en Feoglio kwamen er stukken beter van af.
