Mercedes met aanpassingen sidepods en verlichting in Barcelona

Mercedes heeft een aantal modificaties voor de W09 meegebracht vandaag. Tijdens de eerste testdag in Barcelona rijdt Lewis Hamilton zijn rondes (ruim 71 in de ochtendsessie) en daarin zien we aantal opvallende zaken. Zo zijn er vleugeltjes aangebracht op de sidepods en heeft de Mercedes ook nieuwe verlichting aan de achterzijde. 

Hieronder beeld van de veranderingen op de W09 van Mercedes.

    ben het spuugzat al die flapjes. tevens allemaal potentieel gevaar wanneer het loskomt. of het werkt? soms ontbreken er onderdelen op een wagen die schijnbaar geen invloed hebben

      In de Moto GP rijden ze ook met spuuglelijke aerodynamische voorkuipen, hopelijk gaan ze dat verbieden volgend seizoe Lekker strak daar hou ik van ;)

      Volgens onbevestigde bronnen zeker 0,3 seconden. Bovendien lijkt met de nieuwe verlichting de balans van de auto met sprongen vooruit te zijn gegaan.

      Het zou een soort extra schrikreactie kunnen geven voor de achterliggende coureur. Net zoals het derde remlicht vroeger verboden was bij personenauto's. Lijkt me sterk dat dit zomaar mag.

      Wellicht nog een suggestie voor de FIA; vraag Philips ff of ze er zo’n afstandsbediening bij kunnen leveren zodat de boel RGB te regelen is. Of koppel het ala Voice of Holland aan de F1 app zodat de fans de kleuren kunnen bepalen adhv de prestaties. Grosjean krijgt dan bijvoorbeeld schaamrood, Vandoorne muisgrijs, Ricciardo bravoure blauw, dat soort dingen. En een beetje knipperen natuurlijk!??

    Zo te lezen op Tw1tter test Mercedes het in opdracht van de F1 dus kans is aanwezig dat volgend jaar alle teams deze lichten krijgen. Mercedes mag het dit jaar niet toepassen op hun wagens omdat het reglement dat niet toestaat.
