Dalmas debuteert in Frankrijk als Formule 1-steward

Een nieuwe naam maakt komend weekend bij de Franse Grand Prix zijn opwachting als adviseur van de stewards van de internationale autosportbond FIA. Oud-coureur Yannick Dalmas is opgeroepen om de wedstrijdleiding terzijde te staan in Le Castellet.

Dalmas racete tussen 1987 en 1994 in de Formule 1, voor teams als Larrousse en AGS. Hij kwam tot 49 Grand Prix-starts, maar punten scoorde hij niet. Meer succes had hij in de sportscars; de Fransman schreef in de jaren negentig vier maal de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam. De voorbije jaren vertolkte hij in het World Endurance Champions reeds de rol van adviseur van de stewards.

De overige twee stewards tijdens het Grand Prix-weekend in Frankrijk zijn Garry Connelly en Enzo Spano.
