Voorwaardelijke boete voor Toro Rosso na overtreding bandenregels VT1

Het team van Toro Rosso heeft na de eerste vrije training voor de Grand Prix van Frankrijk een voorwaardelijke boete van tienduizend euro opgelegd gekregen van de FIA. Het Italiaanse team krijgt de boete omdat coureur Pierre Gasly na 42 minuten in de eerste vrije training nog steeds op dezelfde set banden reed, terwijl dit volgens de reglementen niet toegestaan is.

Toro Rosso moest zich na de training meteen melden bij de stewards. Het team verklaarde dat er kortstondig een stroomstoring was in de garage waardoor het team niet kon communiceren met Pierre Gasly. Nadat de stroom het weer deed kwam Gasly meteen naar binnen. Mocht Toro Rosso binnen twaalf maanden nog een keer dezelfde regel overtreden dan zal het zusterteam van Red Bull Racing alsnog 10.000 euro moeten overmaken aan de FIA.

      Ieder team moet na een halfuur een gebruikt setje banden inleveren volgens de regels, daarom staat na zo'n 25 minuten ook altijd iedereen in de pits en kan je als fan ff rustig pissen zonder wat te missen ;)
