Kimi Raikkonen na eerste dag Paul Ricard: "Vooral in de middag was het lastig"

Ferrari-coureur Kimi Raikkonen heeft de eerste dag op het circuit van Paul Ricard als vierde afgesloten. De wereldkampioen van 2007 spreekt van een dag die redelijk 'ok' was. Raikkonen laat verder weten blij te zijn weer eens naar een nieuw circuit te gaan.

"Het ging best goed vandaag, al was het in de middag lastig. De wind speelt hier een belangrijke rol en in de ochtend had ik ook al even een momentje. Voor de rest liep alles op rolletjes en ik denk dat we daar blij mee mogen zijn. Ik vind het leuk dat we op een nieuw circuit dit weekend, al ken ik dit circuit wel van testsessies. Om er ook op te gaan racen maakt het leuk", aldus Raikkonen na afloop van de eerste trainingsdag op Paul Ricard.

In de andere Ferrari besloot Sebastian Vettel de dag als vijfde, op 1,1 seconde van titelrivaal Lewis Hamilton.
