Hockenheim niet op kalender van 2019

De Grand Prix van Duitsland zal in 2019 niet op het circuit van Hockenheim worden verreden. Het circuit host volgende maand de Duitse Grand Prix maar het is de organisatie niet gelukt om met Liberty een akkoord te bereiken voor 2019.

Hockenheim-directeur Georg Seiler vertelde aan Bild: "Het komt voor ons niet als een verrassing maar het is wel een aderlating. We zijn met Liberty in gesprek geweest en hebben keer op keer duidelijk gemaakt dat we heel graag de Duitse Grand Prix willen organiseren, alleen als het financiële risico tot een minimum wordt verlegd."

"We zijn niet in staat geweest om dat te bereiken, in ieder geval niet voor het volgende seizoen. Ons doel is om een financieel gezond businessmodel te hebben. Dat is voor ons fundamenteel. In hoeverre onze ideeën in de toekomst kunnen worden afgestemd op die van Formule 1, zullen we zien."

      Tja een echt gemis vind ik het ook niet echt. De kans op een regenbui is nou ook niet bepaald groot daar en het incident dat bij mij het meeste indruk heeft gemaakt de afgelopen 10 jaar was een boordradio...

      Assen zou leuk zijn voor het najaar. Vanaf April tot Juli zijn er al aardig veel evenementen voor een circuit

      Rossi en Lorenzo zijn imo realistisch over een F1 race op Assen.

      “Ik hoop dat die er niet zal komen”, begint Valentino Rossi tegenover de aanwezige pers. “De Formule 1 heeft genoeg circuits die speciaal gemaakt zijn voor autoraces, terwijl Assen juist een rijke geschiedenis heeft met motoren. Niet alleen dat maar ook de impact van races op het circuit speelt een rol. Zonder Formule 1-wagens zal het circuit een stuk minder hobbelig zijn.”

      Ook Jorge Lorenzo ziet een Formule 1-race in Assen niet zitten. “Ze zullen een hoop aan het circuit moeten veranderen voordat de huidige Formule 1-auto’s er op kunnen rijden.”

      He he inderdaad Assen is een motor circuit, elke poging er een F1 circuit van te maken vern*ukt Het Moto GP circuit. Afblijven. Als er dan zonodig een Dutch GP moeten komen dan gewoon waar die al was Zandvoort...
      En over de bereikbaarheid ? Ach ik heb het er voor over en al die bezoekers in het verleden schijnbaar ook. Trouwens Assen bereikbaarheid valt met z0n event ook vies tegen. Iedereen roept dat wel maar heeft als referentie kader de TT en ja laat daar nou 80% met de motor komen ...

      @Royalere Ik ben al ruim 30 jaar fan van de sport. Na jaren McLaren fan te zijn geweest gaat mijn hart nu uiteraard sneller kloppen voor de prestaties van Max. Maar daarnaast vind ik het triest te zien hoe een iconisch team als McLaren afgegleden is.

      En inderdaad lijken zowel Oostenrijk als de Hungaroring de RB te liggen, ware het niet dat dat al vaker gezegd is waarbij ook regelmatig het tegenovergestelde bleek.

      Ik ben er ook bij. Vorig jaar met de kinďeren naar Red Bull Ring geweest waar VER helaas niet verder kwam dan pruttelend door de eerste bocht. Hopelijk deze keer (ohne Kinder) meer geluk!

    Daar is Liberty heel blij mee. Teams willen niet meer dan 21 gp`s dus kan Liberty deze weer gebruiken voor een kut stratencircuit.

      Nurburg wisselde tijden af met Hockenheim... wegens geld gebrek is dit inmiddels niet meer te doen.

    En terecht er moet natuurlijk wel iets verdient worden . ver kunnen ze het niet gaan zoeken bij de liberty groep want je kunt niet constant de hele wereld rond blijven vliegen en vergroot inderdaad de kans dat hij naar Nederland kan gaan .
