Coulthard leeft mee met 'zondebok' Boullier na ontslag

Voormalig Formule 1-coureur David Coulthard heeft te doen met Eric Boullier. De Fransman moest onlangs vertrekken bij McLaren, maar volgens Coulthard werd de schuld van McLaren's matige prestaties teveel in Boullier's schoenen geschoven.

"Ik heb te doen met Eric Boullier, want ik heb hem de auto niet zien ontwerpen, ik heb hem die niet zien bouwen en ik heb hem er ook niet in zien rijden, maar toch moest hij vertrekken", aldus Coulthard in gesprek met Crash.net. "Iemand moet de zondebok zijn."

Ondanks de tegenslagen, verwacht Coulthard dat McLaren er weer bovenop komt. "Absoluut, McLaren komt terug. Ik heb het gevoel dat de toekomst beter wordt, gezien het momentum van de grote groep bedrijven en investeerders die ze hebben."

"Ze hebben misschien geen onuitputtelijke bron met geld, maar ik denk dat het belangrijk voor ze is om de financiën op orde te krijgen en om vervolgens een structuur op te bouwen die mensen in staat stelt om te presteren. Mensen hebben daar duidelijk matig gepresteerd."

    Bij Bouillier vraag ik me nou altijd af welke positieve invloed hij heeft gehad bij zowel Renault als McLaren, want ik kan het simpelweg niet bedenken.

    Wat Coulthard bedoelt is dat hij niet de enige is die verdiend de laan uit gestuurd is.
    Zak Brown moet er ook gewoon uit en ze moeten een goede Brit vinden die de McLaren heritage ademt en leeft.
    Die niet alleen maar gebrand is op CEO-tje te spelen.

      Anders geef je Zak Brown eerst een kans. Hij is de enige McLaren-topman in de afgelopen jaren geweest die de schuld bij McLaren legt en niet bij anderen.

      er is helemaal niks om te lachen, vergeet niet dat McL een meer als iconisch merk is die zijn sporen wel degelijk verdient heeft, je hoeft helemaal geen fan te wezen om te realiseren dat als een McL wegvalt er een stuk historie verdwijnt die bijdraagt en enorm bijgedragen heeft aan de huidige Formule 1 klasse, het zelfde (in mindere mate) geldt voor Williams, ik hoop dat je realiseert dat hoe minder teams hoe slechter de F1 er voor komt te staan, het is een simpele wet die zegt dat er concurentie moet zijn om iets voor te stellen, met 3 teams is het snel bepaald en zal geen sponsor nog willen instappen in de F1. tja en ondertussen lach jij je dood.......

      Denk niet dat ie er om kan lachen eerlijk gezegd, Dennis is een redelijk weldenkend mens, in tegenstelling tot sommigen. Snap sowieso niet wat er grappig aan is. Leg eens uit.

      Brabham, mijn baas, mijn vrienden/kennissen, mijn vrouw en kinderen vinden niet erg dat de taal mijn zwakste punt is... terwijl veel van hier echt azijnpissers die durven zeggen omdat ze achter de scherm zitten?

      Brabham, Dennis kunt erom lachen omdat hij werd beschuldigen dat McLaren niet meer winnende team werd maar lag niet aan hem maar meer aan McLaren zelfs dus die moet allemaal opnieuw herinstructuur binnen bedrijf moet hanteren

      Veel te simpel en kort door de bocht gedacht naar mijn mening. Er vond een machtsstrijd binnen McLaren plaats en volgens mij was Dennis bezig met Chinese investeerders en is dat bij Ojeh in het verkeerdekeelgat geschoten omdat er zaken niet werden gemeld aan de aandeelhouders. Dat is Ron Dennis noodlottig geworden. Had niks te maken met de prestaties an sich volgens mij.
      Wat betreft taal/spelling zal het mij redelijk worst wezen. Ik kijk eerder naar wat iemand probeert te zeggen. Het enige waar ik qua taal altijd hard om moet lachen, is als mensen met Engelse termen gaan smijten om interessant te doen, maar het verkeerd schrijven :)
