Sainz over Renault-auto: "We kunnen ieder aspect verbeteren"

Renault-coureur Carlos Sainz is van mening dat zijn team ieder aspect van de huidige auto kan verbeteren. Dat stelt de Spanjaard in gesprek met Crash.net. Sainz stelt dat als zijn team de strijd aan wil gaan met de top, er op ieder vlak kleine verbeteringen gedaan moeten worden.

“Haas is een verrassing, maar het doel van Renault is om dat kleine beetje extra te vinden, zodat we op het niveau van Red Bull en Ferrari komen", aldus Sainz in gesprek met Crash.net. "De top drie is uiteindelijk altijd nog ons doel."

“Op het gebied van de auto, kunnen we ieder aspect verbeteren. Ik kan niet één specifiek punt aanwijzen waar niets aan verbeterd kan worden. Ik zeg dit op een positieve manier, niet als kritiek. Ik denk dat het constructief is om te zeggen dat dit team op ieder vlak moet verbeteren, als we willen strijden om wereldtitels."

"Ik ontmoet mensen in de fabriek en ik zie intelligente mensen die perfect in staat zijn om het voor elkaar te krijgen", vervolgt Sainz, die begrijpt dat een plek in de top drie dit seizoen nog te vroeg is. "Ik denk dat dit team klaar is om vierde te worden in het kampioenschap. We hebben nog wat upgrades, dat is het goede van een groot team als dit. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat we terug kunnen slaan."

De motor verbeteren, dat zou helpen.
Maar Renault heeft nog een megastap te maken met de auto zelf. Gat met RBR is volledig toe te wijzen aan de auto (chassis, aeropakket, ophanging, etc). Dat gat dichten ze niet van ene op andere jaar.

  Dat klopt en ontken ik ook niet. Renault heeft nog wat jaren te gaan, dat is feitelijk wat ik wil zeggen.

Tsja, zullen we dan maar inkoppen?

Hij praat te veel en laat te weinig zien.

Waar hij de meeste verbetering kan behalen is een betere mediatrainer in te huren.

Beste verbetering? Tussen zitje en stuur onder die eierdop op de kop.
Hij moet hrt doen met materiaal wat hem aangereikt wordt en daarmee klaar
