Team Lotus zet chassis in elkaar en start deze week motoren op

De nieuwe auto van Team Lotus bevindt zich in de afrondende fase. De Maleisische renstal bouwt het eerste chassis op en laat later deze week de nieuwe motoren van Renault proef draaien. Dat onthulde technisch directeur Mike Gascoyne op zijn Twitter-pagina.

De bouw van chassis 1 van de nieuwe auto is gisteren begonnen. Morgenavond of woensdagochtend gaan we hopelijk de motoren warm draaien. Veel te doen, maar opwindende tijden. Jarno Trulli en Heikki Kovalainen ook aanwezig in de fabriek om hun stoeltje te passen en zitpositie te verfijnen. Goed dat ze er zijn, aldus Gascoyne.
