Giovinazzi ook in Hongarije in actie voor Sauber

Antonio Giovinazzi rijdt ook in Hongarije de eerste training voor het team van Sauber. Dat schrijft Motorsport Week. De Italiaan reed op Hockenheim de eerste sessie achter het stuur van de auto van Marcus Ericsson, in Hongarije is het Charles Leclerc die vanaf de zijlijn moet toekijken.

Giovinazzi is een kandidaat voor een Sauber-zitje voor 2019 en dit seizoen krijgt de Italiaan een aantal gelegenheden om zichzelf te bewijzen. Naast de vrije training op de Hungaroring, zal Giovinazzi ook in actie komen tijdens de testdag na de Grand Prix.

Vorig seizoen reed Giovinazzi twee Grands Prix voor het team van Sauber, omdat vaste coureur Pascal Wehrlein geblesseerd was geraakt door een ongeluk tijdens de Race of Champions in Miami. Na twee races keerde de Duitser terug bij Sauber.
