Duitse Grand Prix krijgt wellicht een vervolg in 2019

Het lijkt er sterk op dat er toch weer een Duitse Grand Prix zal zijn in 2019. Dat zegt Sean Bratches, commercieel directeur van de Formule 1 tegenover Reuters. Het optimisme over die mogelijkheid groeit de laatste tijd. Dinsdag vertelde hij dat er in 2019 waarschijnlijk weer 21 races op de kalender komen, maar liet in het midden of er een Duitse Grand Prix komt.

"Ik ben een optimist. We hebben de kalender nog niet bekendgemaakt, maar dat gaat niet lang meer duren. Mijn Duits is niet geweldig, maar de gesprekken gaan goed", zegt hij met een knipoog.

Daar is Jorn Teske, marketing directeur van Hockenheim, het mee eens. "We hebben hoop dat volgend jaar weer de Duitse Grand Prix kunnen organiseren, maar meer kan ik er nog niet over zeggen. Er is nog van alles mogelijk, want we zijn nog in gesprek. Het is duidelijk dat beide partijen een oplossing proberen te vinden en dat betekent dat de Formule 1 graag een Duitse Grand Prix wil. Dus we zijn optimistisch, maar zijn er nog niet."

    Duitse GP? Tuurlijk de Nederlandse fans betalen de rekening wel weer, zoals we dat ook al in Spa en Oostenrijk doen. Maar ons een GP op eigen bodem geven, dat is toch echt van de zotte.

      Spa geef ik je groot gelijk in , maar Oostenrijk valt toch reuze mee met die zware korting voor de nederlanders omdat Red Bull eigenaar is van dat Circuit .. die kunnen de rekeningen heus wel betalen

    En na volgend jaar staat Monza in het hoekje gedrukt. Rode cijfers lees ik net op RTL Duitsland teletekst. Het is dat LM er iets mee wil gaan doen want anders over en sluiten zoals ik het lees. Niet best allemaal.

    Als we dan kijken naar Oostenrijk, Hongarije en Spanje...die doen het wel aardig goed, faciliteiten op orde, infrastructuur ook. Hoe dat in Spa is weten we allemaal.

    Formule 1 MOET snel veranderen, goedkoper worden, meer heldenstatus en gekaderd gevaarlijk anders sterft deze mooie klasse een langzame dood (waarbij ik vind dat het zich in de herfst bevind tegen de winter aan, terug naar het voorjaar graag).

      Eclestone, die miezigere geldwolf, heeft de graaicultuur binnen de F1 veroorzaakt. Probeer dat nu nog maar eens terug te draaien. Asociaal gewoon hoe de circuits, of dan wel de promotors een poot uitgedraaid worden. 500% winst? 1000% winst? Wie zal het zeggen? De circuits moeten zich binnen Europa echt gaan verenigen. Wat ze in één ander oliestaatje zonder F1 cultuur willen betalen, omdat ze zo nodig een GP willen, moeten ze lekker zelf weten. Maar Europa is de bakermat van F1, en het is een schande dat de prijs kunstmatig omhoog gedreven is door dictaturen waar de F1 niets te zoeken heeft. Zoals ik al zei, een luizige geldwolf die Ecclestone, de sport interesseerde hem geen ne kl*te.

      Bijna volledig eens. Ik denk dat Ecclestone zeker wel hart voor de sport heeft. Hij heeft er een zakelijk model van gemaakt (welke grote sport is dat niet tegenwoordig) en dat heeft ook zijn keerpunten. Het is inderdaad de wereld op de kop, we betalen dik om te komen racen en dat is knap gedaan.

      Bakermat moet men niet kapot maken anders is het over en sluiten binnen nu en tien jaar.

      Die circuits hebben bij hun volle verstand deze contracten getekend .. de eerste jaren weinig betalen de laatste jaren meer betalen ..

      Als er iemand is die hun zakken hebben gevuld is het vooral de circuiteigenaren .. je maakt mij niet wijs dat Silverstone met zoveel bezoekers de broek de afgelopen jaren niet heeft kunnen ophouden
