Leclerc blij toe: "Goed om weer te kunnen racen na de teleurstelling op Spa"

Charles Leclerc is blij dat er meteen weer een Formule 1-weekend volgt op de teleurstellende Belgische Grand Prix van afgelopen weekend. De Fransman was betrokken bij de startcrash op Spa en geeft tegen TheCheckeredFlag.com dan ook aan dat hij snel weer wil racen.

"Ik kijk naar uit om weer te kunnen rijden. Het is fijn om meteen weer door te kunnen na de uitvalbeurt op Spa in de laatste race. We kunnen weer vooruit kijken."

Het Italiaanse circuit ligt van alle circuits het meest dichtbij de thuisbasis in Zwitserland en daarom kan het omschreven worden als de thuisrace van het Sauber-team. "Monza is voor ons team, als ambassadeurs van het iconische Italiaanse merk Alfa Romeo, een speciale bestemming. Het zal daarom voelen als een thuisrace."

"Voor mij persoonlijk is het ook speciaal, omdat ik altijd al speciale banden met dit land heb gehad. Hier heb ik voor het eerst gekart en later ben ik onderdeel geworden van de Ferrari Driver Academy. Ik kan er niet op wachten om de Italiaanse fans te ontmoeten. Monza is een iconische baan en het zou een goede uitdaging moeten zijn. Ik kijk er naar uit."
