Dan Ticktum speculeert nog niet over Toro Rosso

Red Bull Racing Junior Dan Ticktum zegt dat hij speculaties over zijn toekomst vermijdt, zodat hij zich kan richten op het kampioenschap in Europese Formule 3. Ticktum is één van de Red Bull Junior-rijders die kans maakt om het zitje van Pierre Gasly bij Toro Rosso over te nemen. De Brit heeft op dit moment echter nog niet genoeg punten op zijn superlicentie.

Met nog maar drie races te gaan, gaat Ticktum aan de leiding in de Europese F3. Hij heeft twaalf punten voorsprong op Juri Vips. Wanneer de Brit de titel wint, dan heeft hij wel genoeg punten op zijn superlicentie en kan hij dus rijden voor Toro Rosso. Maar daar denkt Ticktum voorlopig nog niet aan.

"Ik weet niet wat er volgend jaar gaat gebeuren. We gaan het zien, maar ik ga er nu nog niet over speculeren. Eerlijk gezegd denk ik er ook nog niet aan. Ik weet alleen dat het een geweldige mogelijkheid is, dus ik moet het als iets positiefs zien", zegt hij tegenover Readmotorsport.com.
