Formule 1 organiseert F1 Live-evenement in Miami

De Formule 1 houdt volgende maand in Miami weer een F1 Live-evenement. Op die manier wil de sport meer draagvlak creëren voor een toekomstige Grand Prix in die Amerikaanse stad.

Het F1 Festival in Miami gaat grofweg dezelfde opzet krijgen als de eerdere edities in Londen in 2017 en Marseille eerder dit jaar. Het moet een vierdaags evenement worden, dat op 17 oktober van start gaat. Een woordvoerder van de Formule 1 zei er het volgende over: "We houden een festival in Miami en we zijn nu alle details aan het afronden. We hebben die details dus nog niet, maar er komt in ieder geval een demonstratie."

The Independent weet dat Biscayne Boulevard het centrale punt moet worden van het festival. Een stuk van 690 meter wordt afgezet, waardoor de auto's daar hun demonstratie kunnen geven. Niet elk team zal waarschijnlijk deelnemen aan de demonstraties, maar wel wordt verwacht dat alle teams aanwezig zijn voor overige festiviteiten. Ook zal er een groot scherm aanwezig zijn, waarop fans de actie op het Circuit of the Americas kunnen volgen.

    Ik blijf het gewoon een matig evenement vinden dat simpel ingegeven is. Kluns het tof om de F1 auto's in het echt te zien.aar een keertje op en neer rijden en vervolgens een nietszeggende podium talk, en dat voor een klein publiek... Er is meer uit te halen. En het is ook wat naïef om het alleen als F1 te doen. Je moet de complete motorsport vieren, aangezien alle klassen afhankelijk zijn van elkaar. En op deze manier heb je ook kruisbestuiving. Zeker in de VS waar ze een heel eigen voorkeur hebben en een heel andere traditie.

      Als ze 'alle' klassen uitnodigen dan is het heel druk bij Indy, NASCAR en MotoGP en niet bij F1. Waarom? Heel simpel, die andere klassen zijn spannend en sensationeel en bij F1 is het saai en staan in principe de eerste vier al vast.

      @Arie54 Het is geen kwestie van verschillende stands oid. Het is een parcours waar je die auto's langs ziet komen, een voor een. Je zit op je plek ziet van alles voorbij komen.

    Het moge duidelijk zijn dat LM dit kostte wat kost er door wil drukken evenals Hanoi en Kopenhagen voor 2020 en dan heb je inclusief Duitsland al 24 races en dat lijkt dan toch wel het maximum aantal.

    ze willen het houden, maar miami wilt zoiezo niet de hoofdprijs betalen voor een f1 race, wel beetje ironisch zal evenhard gevolgen worden voor andere circuits zullen ze ook korting vragen haha
