Renault hoopt verbeteringen in Rusland met nieuwe vloer

De strijd om de vierde plaats bij de constructeurs gaat in Rusland weer verder. Renault hoopt in Sotsji een slag te kunnen slaan door een upgrade met onder andere een nieuwe vloer.

Renault staat na de Grand Prix van Singapore vijftien punten voor op naaste rivaal Haas F1 Team, doordat Nico Hülkenberg en Carlos Sainz allebei punten scoorden. Om die vierde positie bij de constructeurs te consolideren, komt Renault in Rusland weer met een kleine upgrade voor de R.S.18.

Het pakket dat Renault meeneemt naar het Sochi Autodrom is niet groot en het bevat geen radicale veranderingen. Volgens het team zelf gaat het om een kleine evolutie van de upgrades die het team al mee had genomen naar de races in België en Singapore. De vloer heeft een kleine upgrade gekregen van Renault en daarnaast zijn er nog een aantal kleine onderdelen verbeterd.
