Bernie Ecclestone maakt mogelijk zeldzame trip naar Melbourne

Bernie Ecclestone zal over enkele weken mogelijk voor het eerst in jaren tijd afreizen naar Melbourne. De Brit is al jaren niet meer aanwezig bij de Grand Prix van Australië, maar ondanks alle controverse rond de race zal Ecclestone dit jaar waarschijnlijk wel de trip maken.

Ecclestone is niet erg gecharmeert van de race in Australië en overweegt na uitspraken van Melbourne's burgemeester de race zelfs te schrappen over enkele jaren. Een woordvoerder van Ecclestone vertelde vandaag: "Ik ben er vrij zeker van dat het de intentie is van meneer Ecclestone om af te reizen naar Melbourne."
