Technische Analyse: De Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten (1)

Vanaf dit weekend zullen we als redactie van F1Today zo veel mogelijk technische analyses proberen te geven over de ontwikkelingen en updates die teams hebben meegenomen naar de race. Wij gaan van onze kant onderzoeken of deze onderdelen daadwerkelijk invloed hebben op het lopende seizoen en of deze onderdelen eventueel voor volgend jaar getest worden.

Ferrari

Een inkijkje in de cockpit van de SFH 17. Daarnaast hebben de Italianen een andere vloer meegenomen naar Austin, is men terug gegaan naar de Singapore specificatie-achterwielophanging en heeft men de Barcelona stijl-achtervleugel laten zitten.

Red Bull Racing - Tag Heuer

De diffuser van Red Bull Racing, Mercedes en Ferrari hebben veel van elkaar weg. Zelfs zoveel dat het regelrechte copy's lijken.

McLaren - Renault

McLaren heeft er voor gekozen om een nieuwe neus mee te nemen naar Austin. Duidelijk is te zien dat het aerodynamica-team van McLaren twee extra randjes heeft weggehaald aan de bovenkant van de neus, daar waar de neus overgaat richting het cockpit-gedeelte.

Toro Rosso - Honda

Toro Rosso komt dit weekend met een speciale specificatie van haar STR13. Pierre Gasly zal de beschikking krijgen over een nieuwe vloer, een nieuwe neus en nieuwe bardgeboards aan de zijkant van de auto.

Mercedes AMG Petronas

Mercedes heeft een drielaags-vleugel op de Halo gemonteerd. Deze vleugels zou de luchtstroming naar de achterkant van de auto moeten verbeteren.

Mooie info, hier geniet ik van. Nu hopelijk een beetje droog worden daar anders gaan ze pas een beetje rijden in FP3.

  Wat denk je van LEC.... Ongelijk wat een eikel ben je dan. Gewoon een rode vlag veroorzaken wat totaal onnodig is. Echt ik zie hem graag op de baan maar nu lijkt het wel een kleuter.

Zie ik het nu verkeerd of klopt de tekst bij McLaren - Renault niet met de foto's ?
op de foto's staat Nuevo-New bij de neus zonder die 2 randjes in de randen maar de tekst zegt dat McLaren twee extra randjes heeft geplaatst aan de bovenkant van de neus, daar waar de neus overgaat richting het cockpit-gedeelte.

vind de diffuser van mercedes toch wel behoorlijk afwijken van Ferrari en Rbr . vooral de naar binnen krommende einde's lijken toch een deftig verschil in werking te veroorzaken.

Wat mclaren al sinds 2014 met die neus probeert weet ik niet. vind het optisch elke keer geen gezicht.

toro rosso is wel heel erg achtergebleven met de ontwikkeling van de bardge boards.
