Robert Kubica heeft moeite met de wachtkamer van Williams

Robert Kubica heeft geen zin om tot eind december te wachten op het besluit van Williams over hun tweede stoel. Hij is van mening dat hij andere opties niet kan benutten als hij niet op korte termijn een toekomstplan van de renstal uit Grove hoort.

Claire Williams vertelde afgelopen week dat er een 'short-shortlist' voor de tweede stoel is. Verder verklaarde de dochter van Frank Williams dat Kubica een fantastische teamgenoot voor George Russell zou kunnen zijn. Kubica vond de opmerkingen van Williams erg positief en hij gaf haar veel waardering voor haar mening. Toch bleef de Pool in het ongewisse.

Tegen Sky Sports verklaarde de Pool: "De tijd zal het leren, maar de klok tikt verder. Ik wil gewoon niet wachten. Dat heb ik vorig jaar ook moeten doen. December duurt mij gewoon veel te lang. Ik denk dat het team verschillende scenario's aan het overwegen is. Ik geef ze daarin gelijk. Daarentegen doe ik de dingen aan mijn zijde, dus we moeten afwachten of we op korte termijn tot overeenstemming kunnen komen."

"Zoals ik al vertelde, ik ben gefocust op alles wat er mogelijk is, maar ik zie mezelf niet wachten tot december", vervolgt Kubica. "Dat is voor mij te laat. Mijn doel is om nog steeds als race-coureur op de grid te staan in 2019. Mocht dit niet lukken, dan ben ik misschien nog in de paddock, maar het doet pijn om mezelf niet als race-coureur te zien. Misschien is er een andere klasse waarin ik zou kunnen rijden, maar dat moet ik binnen een korte tijd beslissen." aldus de Pool, die na de afgeketste mogelijkheid bij Renault zijn heil vond bij Williams als test- en reservecoureur.

2x afgetest, een jaar lang een onbeduidende rol als 3e coureur en nu weer in de wachtkamer.....stop er lekker mee. Duidelijker dan dit kan het toch niet zijn voor je.

Nog 1 jaartje wachten. Belangrijk is dat eerst Ocon een stoeltje krijgt. Jaar later zal er waarschijnlijk wel een plek zijn. Volgend jaar voor hem gewoon een test en reserve coureur. Het is even niet anders.

Als er een team bij zou komen zijn er ook weer 2 zitjes extra.

  Als Stroll had kunnen overstappen gedurende het seizoen dan had Kubica het stoeltje van Stroll gekregen en had het er nu heel anders voor hem uit gezien. Het lijkt me frustrerend. Meerdere malen op het puntje van een zitje, maar steeds toch niet

ik zou ergens anders heen gaan waar je wel de zekerheid hebt om te racen........het had een mooi verhaal geweest als je enkele wedstrijden gereden had,.....

  Hij zet Williams ook voor blok natuurlijk.
  Voor 15 december of hij is weg.
  Ze hebben ook al veel te lang van zijn diensten gebruik gemaakt zonder hem uitzicht op een zeteltje te geven.

Je hoeft niet te wachten. Je kunt natuurlijk ook je heil in een andere raceklasse zoeken. FE bijvoorbeeld of racen op oval's. Begrijp dat ie F1 wil rijden en dat willen ze allemaal.

Neem Ocon daar bereiken ze meer mee als het geld dat Kubica mee brengt, maar je kunt ook voor het geld kiezen ipv talent en snelheid.
