Renault: "Kubica is bereid te vechten voor een comeback"

Lotus Renault GP heeft een positief bericht over de staat van coureur Robert Kubica de wereld in geslingerd. De Pool verblijft sinds zondag op de intensive care van een Italiaanse ziekenhuis. En hoewel zijn toestand zorgelijk maar stabiel is toont de eenmalig Grand Prix-winnaar zich strijdvaardig.

Hij denkt namelijk alweer aan een rentree. Renault verklaarde: Robert heeft gesproken met zijn familie en de doktoren. De medicatie laat hem vaak slapen, maar hij reageert goed op externe stimulaties. Hij heeft het nieuws over zijn conditie goed opgepikt en is bereid om te vechten voor een comeback.

Donderdag ondergaat Robert een nieuwe operatie om de breuken in zijn rechterschouder en been te stabiliseren. Twee of drie dagen later opereren ze hem opnieuw om zijn elleboog te stabiliseren. Robert zal twee tot drie weken in het ziekenhuis van Santa Corona verblijven. Daarna nemen we een beslissing over waar hij zijn herstelproces voortzet.
