Sutil over 2011: "Podiumplekken, waarom niet?"

Force India-rijder Adrian Sutil acht het mogelijk dat hij met zijn team komend seizoen in enkele Grands Prix mee strijdt voor het podium. De Indiase renstal begint vol goede moed aan het jaar met de VJM04 en zet de zinnen op een top vijf klassering bij de constructeurs.

Sutil: Vorig jaar startten we sterk, kwalificeerde ik me elke race in de top tien en scoorde regelmatig punten. Na de zomerpauze was het meer uitdagend. De andere teams ontwikkelden zich sneller dan wij en daardoor hebben we punten laten liggen.

Dat hebben we aangepakt met het oog op 2011. Met de windtunnel, het werk op de baan en het ontwerpproces hopen we een stap te zetten. Het doel is om minstens één plek hoger te eindigen dan vorig jaar, waar consistentie voor vereist is. En wat podiumplekken betreft, waarom niet? We zouden ons in elk geval een paar keer moeten mengen in de strijd voor een top drie finish.
