Sainz over Mick Schumacher: "Je achternaam kan deuren voor je openen"

Op basis van zijn achternaam zullen er deuren geopend worden voor Mick Schumacher die normaal gesproken gesloten blijven. Dat zegt Carlos Sainz junior in gesprek met het Duitse Formel1.

Sainz spreekt deels uit ervaring, want de Spanjaard is de zoon van rallylegende Carlos Sainz. Junior werd vervolgens opgepikt door het opleidingsprogramma van Red Bull en rijdt sinds 2015 in de Formule 1, eerst voor Toro Rosso en nu voor Renault. Volgens Sainz zorgt een bekende achternaam ervoor dat er deuren voor je geopend worden, maar het levert ook veel druk op om te moeten presteren.

"Aan het begin van je carrière is er veel druk en dat kan je zien bij Mick Schumacher. Alle ouders vertellen hun kinderen dat ze eerst die Mick Schumacher maar eens moeten verslaan. Dat gebeurde voorheen ook bij mij. De naam Schumacher kan dus deuren voor je openen, maar je komt niet in de Formule 1 als je niet wint."

      Ik denk dat de ouders van zijn tegenstanders wel wisten om wie het ging. Zal eerder gedaan zijn om media aandacht te voorkomen.

    Je kon het ook zien toen max verstappen bij torro rosso getekend had en nog enkele rces.moest uitrijden tot het eind van het seizoen. iedereen op.de track wilde hem verslaan, Immers was hij degeen die.in de f1 ging rijden en iedereen hem.graag aan flarden wilde rijden. Begrijpelijk want iedereen wilde.zich bewijzen om graag die Verstappen te verslaan. Ja in dit geval geef ik Sainz jr wel gelijk. Zelf is hij ook niet onbekend.met dit fenomeen. Zijn achternaam heeft er ook bij meegespeeld om in de f1 terecht te komen. Ik betwijfel trouwens of Mick Schumacher zich snel in de f1 zal bewijzen. Volgens mij zal hijn zijn ouwe heer niet snel evenaren of ueberhaupt maar opvolgen. Eerst maar eens zien, dan geloven.

      Schumacher heeft in de F3 tijd nodig gehad en de wagen moest op niveau komen, maar hij is beter geworden in de kwalificaties en races en heeft genoeg laten zien afgelopen seizoen. Hij zal in de F2 ook willen bewijzen dat hij klaar wordt gestoomd voor de F1. Voor Max en zijn fans zullen het nog spannende jaren worden met Hamilton, Vettel, LeClerc en Gasly en in de toekomst ook Ocon, Russell en Schumacher.

      Het zijn natuurlijk ook niet de minste voetstappen om in te treden. Ik moet uberhaupt maar zien of iemand de komende 30 jaar dat kan evenaren.

    Hij kan ‘t weten, niet waar? .. Vooral als pa ook nog is het ego van het empire state building heeft... Wat dat betreft is het verhaal van Mickey natuurlijk wel wat anders, maar die heeft natuurlijk wel weer een hoge ’gun-factor’ met al die ellende van Pa... En ja, natuurlijk die naam...

    Sainz met zijn kletspraat. Schumacher presteert nu gewoon goed. Dát opent deuren.
    Het is nu lekker makkelijk te zeggen wat Sainz zegt, maar dit had 'ie vorig jaar moeten zeggen. Dan het het misschien iets betekent.

      Die Sainz toch... Een journalist vraagt hem of de achternaam deuren kan openen in de wereld van de racerij maar Sainz had moeten antwoorden dat ze hem die vraag vorig jaar moesten stellen..
