Hamilton wil na rijderstitel ook de constructeurstitel

Mercedes gaat op Interlagos proberen om pas het tweede team te worden dat vijf opeenvolgende coureurs- en constructeurstitels wint. Alleen Ferrari deed dat in het verleden eerder. Datzelfde team kan daar in het restant van het seizoen dus nog een stokje voor steken of het hun rivalen in ieder geval moeilijk maken. 

"Ik zou erg graag de constructeurstitel willen winnen voor het team. Dat betekent echt de wereld voor Mercedes", zegt Hamilton tegenover Sky Sports. "Mijn eigen doel is om de laatste twee wedstrijden te winnen, zodat ik ze de constructeurstitel kan bezorgen", aldus de vijfvoudig wereldkampioen. 

Mercedes heeft een voorsprong van 55 punten op Ferrari en wanneer dat er na de race op zondag nog steeds minstens 43 zijn, dan pakt het Duitse team de constructeurstitel. Ferrari moet op Interlagos dus minstens 13 punten meer scoren dan Mercedes, om de definitieve beslissing bij de constructeurs uit te stellen naar Abu Dhabi.

      De titel is niet verrassend, maar de rest van het stuk is wel informatief. Begrijp dus niet waarom dat dan zo negatief benaderd moet worden.

    Appeltje eitje voor Mercedes met een gat van 55 punten en 2 races te gaan, maar zeker is niets in de F1 want de weersomstandigheden en betrouwbaarheid van de motoren kan roet in het eten strooien. Normaal gezien is Ferrari kansloos voor de constructeurstitel en Lewis wil ook de laatste 2 races winnen of zou hij Valtteri nog een fooi gunnen voor een zege.

    Dus Valtteri kan een overwinning dit jaar op zijn buik schrijven. Daarbij vrees ik dat volgend jaar niet geheel anders zal zijn.

      Het maakt niet uit wie van de twee wint. Als Valtteri voorligt en op winst afgaat zal Hamilton daar geen probleem van maken.

      GP.. Voor het constructeurs kampioenschap maakt dat niets uit, inderdaad. Maar Hamilton zegt specifiek in dit interview dat hij beide races wil winnen. Niet dat hij Valtteri ook wat gunt. Dat is voor mij duidelijk genoeg.
