De bandenkeuze van de teams voor de laatste race in Abu Dhabi

Het Formule 1-seizoen is weer voorbij gevlogen en inmiddels zijn we alweer aanbeland bij de laatste race van deze jaargang. Eind volgende week zal het jaar, waarin Lewis Hamilton zichzelf voor de vijfde keer tot wereldkampioen kroonde, worden afgesloten met de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi. 

Voor deze race heeft bandenleverancier Pirelli de zachtst mogelijke selectie aan banden beschikbaar gesteld. De teams kunnen dus gebruik maken van de supersoft, de ultrasoft en de hypersoft. Zoals inmiddels vanzelfsprekend is geworden, hebben de teams veruit de meeste banden van de zachtste compound besteld. Alleen het team van Renault is vrij conservatief.

      Ik denk dat hij beter uit de buurt van Max kan blijven. Zal in halverwege de race een momentje worden als Max hem op een ronde zet. Dan rijdt Max er voorbij en steekt hij nog één keer het vingertje op.

    Jammer dat de bandenkeuze te dicht op elkaar zit en dat ze geen compounds overgeslagen hebben.

      Ja opzich wel, maar die hypersoft is een link bandje voor een aantal teams. Kan leuk worden!

      Ik denk dat Mercedes die sowieso gaat vermijden. Dat hadden ze moeilijker gekund als de ultra overgeslagen zou worden.

    Hulkenberg had nog wat zegeltjes over voor de ultrasoft zo te zien.
    En Mercedes heeft veel Hyper's, ben benieuwd of ze die banden heel weten te houden in Abu Dhabi. Waarschijnlijk speelt hier mee dat de race in het donker is, met koeler asfalt.

      Geen idee, ik vroeg het mij laast ook al af.
      Misschien dat hij zijn verdriet over het mislopen van de titel voor Ferrari even niet de baas kan zijn?;)
      Ik hoop dat hij weer terugkeert, zijn bijdrage was altijd wel vermakelijk.

    Vraagje, voor aanvang nieuwe seizoen moeten ze toch hun bandenkeuzes al doorgeven toch? Omdat het verscheept moet worden, of zit ik daar naast?

      Ja, dat varen duurt even en ware het niet dat dat van één van de races dat ook gezegd is dat het niet zomaar ingevlogen kan en mag worden. Dus vroeg ik het mij af.
